I saw a tweet the other day…and it’s kinda lost in the tweet forest, but basically sent us to an article about an increase in homophobia in schools. Not sure if this is true and would certainly like to think not…So, just to add something to the other side of that equation, and we need to do this as often as we can, here is something about a launch…yep, we missed the actual opening, but the program continues. Out West: Western Sydney Same Sex Attracted Young Persons Project Launch

Out West is a project to support the health and well being of western Sydney’s same sex attracted young people, brought to you by the Youth Action & Policy Associations Western Sydney Project, funded by the NSW Government through Communities NSW.
The NSW Minister for Youth, The Hon. Peter Primrose MLC will be in attendance to present a cheque to fund this much needed project to support the health and well being of western Sydney’s same sex attracted young people.
The launch will also feature guest speaker Alex Pittaway from Wear It Purple, speaking about his experience as a young gay man growing up in Western Sydney, and an acoustic performance from acclaimed Sydney singer/songwriter Sam Buckingham.
Light refreshments will be provided.
