A peer education program
Norfolk Island
This peer education program stretched over a number of months, starting with zoom chats across the Pacific to work out a framework and an approach, which we then followed up with me visiting Norfolk Island for a week to work with the peer educators, the school, community and family members. We continued our zooms for a number of months across the waves and then I returned to Norfolk to help the peer educators finalise and present their Projects. All in all a wonderful uplifting experience and a total privilege for me.

Norfolk Island: Visit 2
This was my second and final visit to Norfolk Island to work with the SHAW-UP Peer Education Project and help the peer educators finalise and present their Projects. I had the immense privilege and pleasure of being a ‘guide’ with the young people both in person on two separate one week visits and then via zoom over a period of about six months. And during this second visit I actually got to be part of one of the Projects, a fun run along the beautiful foreshore, the event bringing together people across generations to be together, run together and then celebrate together. Wonderful, enthusiastic, good-thinking young people. The world is in good hands.
